If you're reading this, you've agreed to a few simple things. The text, images, and design of this site belong to us unless attributed otherwise. You can quote short passages with credit, but please don't republish the catalogue, product photos, or written content wholesale. We list prices in good faith and they're current as of publication, but anything we list — prices, availability, hours, lead times — can change. We reserve the right to turn down a booking or order, with a full refund. We stand behind what we make: if something arrives damaged, isn't what you ordered, or doesn't meet the description, tell us and we'll repair, replace, or refund without argument. None of this affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Plans and billing
Plans and prices may change with notice. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse, reverse-engineer, or resell the service. Contacting Cedar Blend Line implies consent to a reply on the same channel.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cedar Blend Line is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Works shown on this site may already be reserved or sold; the site is not a live inventory. Prices are quoted on request and can change between exhibitions as an artist's market moves. Nothing here constitutes an offer capable of acceptance.
Condition and authenticity
Every work sold comes with a condition report and documentation from the artist or their estate. Contemporary work using organic or unstable materials will change over time — we describe expected ageing in the condition report rather than presenting the piece as permanent.
Images and copyright
Copyright in the works stays with the artists. Installation photography is ours. Neither may be reproduced commercially without written permission. Press use is welcome; ask us and we will send you proper files and credits.
Governing law
Japanese law applies, and the Kyoto District Court has exclusive jurisdiction at first instance.
Loans and exhibitions
Works loaned to institutions travel with condition reports and insurance arranged in advance. A lender's identity is disclosed to the borrowing institution only, and to the public only as 'private collection' unless the lender says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
As the programme and the artist list change, these terms are revised to match. The revised text and its effective date appear on this page; continuing to use the site after that date means you accept them.
Severability
Should any clause here prove unenforceable, the remainder stands. Nothing in these terms is meant to limit statutory rights a buyer holds under Japanese law.
Contact
Write to us about anything in these terms. Cedar Blend Line, 〒603-8228 Kyoto, Kyoto City, Kita Ward, Murasakino Higashifunaokacho, 55-1. Telephone +81 75-451-5051, email hello@cedarblendline.com. Last revised 27 July 2026.
Viewing and reservations
A work can be reserved for a short period while a collector decides. Reservations are held in good faith and are not binding on either side until an invoice is issued and accepted.
Viewings outside opening hours can usually be arranged with notice. We ask that photographs taken during a private viewing are not published before the show opens.
Limits of liability
The gallery is liable for the accuracy of what it states about a work's authorship, condition, and provenance, to the extent of what the artist or estate has told us and what our own examination shows.
We are not liable for changes in a work's market value, for damage occurring after collection, or for the consequences of storage or display conditions outside our control. Advice on both is offered freely and taken at the owner's discretion.
